Self-Taping At Home (or Auditioning In Yoga Pants)

I’m continuing to try to find new ways to push my acting career to the next step. Auditions have been slow for me (and the other girls in my type) lately. My agent recently checked in with me and she said that there just isn’t much out there for me. I trust what she’s saying, and it’s a bit frustrating. I know that if I lost all the weight, I would be in more categories (but I’d also be going up against more people).

I am still working on the weight loss, but I’m trying to do things now too. I saw the casting notice for the NBC Diversity Showcase recently and decided to apply for it. Most, if not all, the major tv networks do these showcases to discover new talent. And more specifically more diverse talent. Even though I’m not a minority as far as my ethnicity, being a woman makes me a minority (being overweight does too).

The first step of the application process was very simple. There is a service called Breakdown Services which is one of the main online casting services. The actors version of it is called Actors Access. The audition notice was posted on Actors Access and to apply, you just had to submit your headshot and reel online. The day after I applied, I got an invitation to submit an audition video through Actors Access (I think everyone who applies gets this so I’m pretty sure that I haven’t made any cuts yet).

I was given the chose of a dozen different scenes and had to tape my audition to upload to the service. There are a lot of ways to self-tape (and many places that charge for it), but I figured that I could easily do this at home.

First, I found a friend to be a reader for the other character. My friend Robert was able to do it, and I was very happy about that because he’s a great actor and I trust him to make sure I do my best.

I used my digital camera (not my phone) for the audition and set it up on a tripod. Since I needed the camera to be at eye level and my tripod is only a mini one, we used a step ladder as well.

It was a pretty good system we got worked out for the camera. As far as where I sat, I sat in a chair in front of my entry closet and we hung a blanket up behind me so there was a basic blue background.

I’m sure we could have made it look a lot nicer, but when you are asked to self-tape, the casting directors aren’t looking for something that looks like it was shot in a casting office. A clear and in focus video with good sound quality is most important.

We did a couple of different takes until we both felt like I got a really good cut. Then I uploaded it to the Actors Access website and submitted my audition.

I won’t know for a while if I made the next cut. Self-tape auditions are not due until next week, and then they have to go through them.

But even if I don’t make it to the next round of auditions, at least I tried. And I had a nice afternoon of acting in front of the camera and working on my craft.

I really should do this more often because it was so much fun!

The New Gig (or Going From Vacation Mode To Work Mode)

After taking such a crazy trip, I’m super lucky that I didn’t have to start at my new day job the next day. In fact, the day after getting back from the trip was spent recovering from it.

I had some pretty crazy jet lag (taking a 5 hour nap when I finally got home really didn’t help) and for the first time ever, my feet and ankles swelled up like crazy after being on the plane. Maybe it’s because the guy in the middle seat was a big basketball player and I spent the flight squished in my seat (I balanced one foot on top of the other on the side of the plane because that’s the only room I had). So my Monday was spent with my feet up so the swelling would go down (which it did in about a day).

Tuesday was my first day at the new day job. I’m working as a recruiting assistant for lawyers. Basically, my boss tells me about a job opening that we need to fill and I cold call lawyers to see if any of them meet the requirements and if they do, try to get them to go for an interview. Basically, I’m a headhunter (or at least an assistant headhunter).

My first day was pretty much spent learning about the business and going over legal terms and how law firms work. It’s a lot of totally new information for me to learn about, and I’m still working on feeling confident using legal terms.

All my legal knowledge that I’ve had before has come from film and tv (like watching “Legally Blonde” and “Drop Dead Diva”). Fortunately, it turns out that legal shows are a bit more accurate than medical shows, so my film/tv legal knowledge was actually pretty useful.

My second day was similar to the first except I got to listen in to some phone calls and hear what I’m supposed to do. The company that I’m working for is a husband and wife team (and now me, I guess) so I’m learning from the boss. At the end of my shift that day, I made a few calls on my own.

The third day was all phone calls at their home office. I got more comfortable on the phone and started to get some good information out of people. I’m shocked how easily people will tell you how much they make on a first phone call.

Finally, on Friday this past week, I got to work from home. This is what I was told I would be doing once I was trained, and my new boss decided that we should test it out and see how it goes. While I was nervous to not have the support of the boss sitting right next to me, it was also nice to not have the pressure of having the boss right next to me as well.

Since pretty much my entire shift is spent on the phone, I got my iPhone headphones out and tried to make as many phone calls as I could in my four hour shift.

I think it went really well. I checked in by phone with my boss after I was done, and he was very impressed with what I got done. I’m going to be working from home again this week. We aren’t sure when I will have to go in to work in their home office, but I know that if the search changes, I’ll have to go in to learn about the new search parameters.

I’ve worked from home a bit before, but for some reason this time it was different. I made an effort to make it seem as much like a workplace as possible. I did get dressed (no working in pjs for me) so that helped me feel less casual. Although I did skip shoes, doing my hair, or putting on makeup.

So far, I’m really happy with the progress I’ve made with the new job. I feel like it has the possibility to be a great day job, and my boss and his wife love the idea that I’m an actor.

It’s funny. For a while, even before I was laid off, I put it out in the universe that all I wanted was a job that worked from home, had very flexible hours, and had bosses that were excited that I was an actor not annoyed by it. While I did get exactly what I wanted, I probably should have specified that I wanted to only have to have 1 day job. I’m still going to also have to work part-time at my old workplace (working in the box office), but I think that between my 2 new jobs, I should be ok soon.

Frozen Hot Chocolate and Heathers (or The Last Full Day In NYC)

Our last full day in New York was this past Saturday. We started by taking the subway to our brunch location. We had reservations, but we got there before the restaurant opened! So to kill some time, we went to a little coffee house so Krystle could get a coffee.

While walking across the street to get coffee, a familiar logo was in front of me.

I found a NYC SoulCycle! SoulCycle started in New York and they have a bunch of studios there, but we didn’t see one until the last day. We went inside to see what clothing they sold there (if they had a NY SoulCycle shirt I probably would have bought it) and because all SoulCycles use the same brand of candles, it really smelled like being home (who would have thought a workout place would be considered home to me). I gave my brother and Krystle gift cards to SoulCycle for Hanukkah this past year, and they haven’t had a chance to go yet. But hopefully since Krystle saw what one looks like inside, they’ll be more motivated to go soon!

After the SoulCycle and coffee detour, it was finally time for brunch. Krystle and I both got mimosas to celebrate our last breakfast on the trip.

It was sad to think our trip was coming to an end, but we still had a full day to do. After brunch, we got onto the subway and checked out Central Park.

We didn’t really get to walk around (next trip we will) because we had a mission to go to Bergdorf Goodman. Krystle is a buyer for the department store Gumps, and Bergdorf is the east coast equivalent to Gumps. So we went inside to see what they had for sale.

After looking at lots of expensive things, we continued our “out of our price range” shopping on Fifth Ave. and a stop at one of the biggest jewelry stores I’ve ever been to.

This particular Tiffany is 6 floors! We only explored 2 floors before we headed back out to the next part of our day.

We were meeting one of Krystle’s college friends at Serendipity, which is famous for their frozen hot chocolate. They don’t take reservations unless you are getting lunch or dinner, so we had a little over an hour wait outside waiting for our name to be called.

But at least Saturday was a much warmer day so it wasn’t too bad waiting outside. And the wait was totally worth it!

I got the peanut butter frozen hot chocolate, Krystle got the salted caramel frozen hot chocolate, and her friend got the original frozen hot chocolate. They were so delicious and I figured all the walking around and stairs going in and out of the subway would work off the calories of the treat (side note, even with all the crazy eating on this trip, I managed to lose a pound).

After our treat, we said goodbye to Krystle’s friend and headed back into the subway to go back to the hotel to get ready for dinner and the show that evening.

I was beyond excited for the show that night. It was our only off-Broadway show, but it was perfect because my friend AJ was in it! We saw “Heathers”. Technically it was still in previews, but that’s ok. AJ lived in LA until recently. He moved to NYC to be in the show (he was also in the LA version of the show).

As soon as we got to the theater, I was so giddy to see a dear friend doing what he loves to do.

And seeing a familiar face in my Playbill was one of the coolest things of the entire trip!

“Heathers” was incredible! I think it was the best show that we saw this entire trip! The set and costumes weren’t as grand as the Broadway shows that we saw, but the music and story was so much better. I think that if this show moves to Broadway (which it totally should), it will be a serious contender for the Tonys!

After the show, we met up with AJ near the stage door, where he was busy signing autographs.

While we were waiting for AJ to finish up with his fans, my phone rang. I saw that it was my friend Alex, who we saw the night before. When I answered the phone, nobody was there, so Krystle and I figured it must have been a butt dial. But just then, Alex came around the corner! She was walking past the theater and figured that we would probably be there. It was so cool to get to see her again really quickly, and to introduce her to AJ. It was one of those really cool moments that made the trip so perfect.

After AJ was done with autographs, we went around to the other side of the theater to get a picture together in front of the poster for the show.

And no, AJ doesn’t have a giant hand. I didn’t notice that particular optical illusion in the photo until someone else pointed it out to me.

After the photo, a group of us which included AJ’s girlfriend and a listener of the podcast I work for (and AJ co-hosts) headed a few blocks away for a drink at a bar.

There was nothing super special about the bar. It was just a good hangout with friends. It was so normal (and not touristy) and the perfect way to end the evening.

Before we knew it, it was midnight and Krystle and I had to get up around 5am the next morning to catch our flights. It sucked to say goodbye to AJ, because if “Heathers” is as successful as I think it will be, it could be a long time before I get to see him again. But it gives me motivation to visit New York again (and to see Alex again as well).

As Krystle and I headed back to the hotel in a cab, she and I both said how this evening really was the perfect ending to the trip. It sucked that it ended so quickly, but I don’t think we could have asked for a better NYC adventure.

My Day At WB (or Feeling Like I’ve Never Left)

Yesterday, I did stand-in work for “Mike and Molly”. If you are unfamiliar with what stand-in work is, basically I stood in for one of the main actors while the crew set up some shots for promos that they will be shooting this week. I was there so the main actor didn’t have to be (I’m sure I’m cheaper too). I had been a stand-in once before for the same actor a couple of years ago, but that was a totally different experience.

Last time, we worked at a photography studio. While that was fun, this time is was even better. We worked on the WB lot (where the show is shot)! And as I’ve mentioned before, I used to be a tour guide at WB so I know the lot very well.

My day started off by getting through the lot security (it was actually very easy this time) and getting a ride over to the soundstage that we were working on. The soundstage was on the opposite end of the studio, so the ride was nice. Once I got there, I signed my contract for the day, found a chair to sit in, and read my book.

The lighting takes a while to get set up. We were there for about 2 hours before I had to do anything. But I just enjoyed sitting there and reading (and getting paid to do that).

The stage looked pretty plain. There’s nothing shooting in there right now, and all they had up was a blue screen (so they can replace the background of the picture with whatever they want).

After being on that stage for a bit, we ended up moving over to another stage because everything was already set up over there. We moved over to stage 24, which is the stage that “Mike and Molly” shoots on. It’s also known as The “Friends” Stage because that is the stage that “Friends” shot on for a majority of their run.

I tried to get a selfie with the sign outside the stage, but the sign is so big so both the sign and I got a bit cropped out of it.

A funny thing happened while we were walking over to the other stage. I saw a bunch of tour guides with their carts driving around the lot. Everyone on the cart was looking at me trying to figure out if I was famous enough to want to take pictures of. Of course, I took a photo of the cart trying to decide if they wanted to take a photo of me.

Inside stage 24, it was set up just as if they were taping the show that day. The other stand-in and I sat up in the audience area while we waited, and for the first time ever in the audience area, I had my phone on me and could take a photo of the view.

It’s not as pretty to look at when there are crew carts in front and when it isn’t lit properly, but it’s still fun.

Before we really did any stand-in work, we had to break for lunch. I walked over to the commissary and ordered a sandwich (the WB commissary is actually very good and not too horribly priced). After I was done eating, I noticed what I thought was the VIP Deluxe tour cart right by the tables. I know that my friend, Dean, is the one who almost always leads those tours, so I waited by the cart to see if Dean came by.

After waiting for a few minutes, out came Dean with his tour group! As soon as I saw him, I interrupted whatever he was telling his tour to tell his guests that they have the best tour guide ever (Dean was the one who trained me when I was a guide). Dean seemed super excited to see me too, and we got to chat for a second before he had to take his group to the next location on the lot.

I spent the rest of my lunch walking around the lot, checking out some of my favorite locations.

This first picture used to be the hospital for “ER”.

And next is Stars Hollow from “Gilmore Girls” (it’s also been a ton of other locations, but that’s what I always think of it as).

My lunch hour came to an end and I walked back to the soundstage. They were finally ready for us to do our stand-in work after lunch. Most of the time was in the living room set, which is right in front of the audience area. So I got to stare at the empty audience bleachers and tried to image what it would be like to have an audience in there and I’m performing.

Before I knew it, my day was done. It was a very easy day and it might not seem like I did a lot, but it helped the crew get almost all the prep work done so that on the shoot day they don’t have to waste the lead actors’ time.

I walked back through the studio one more time to get back to my car, and I headed home.

It was one of the best days I’ve had in a while. I got to meet a ton of really great people and I got to spend my day on one of my absolute favorite lots to be on (it doesn’t hurt that I know that lot so well so I can wander and not get lost).

Hopefully there will be more days like this in the future.

A Little Good A Little Bad (or Maybe This Is Just How It Will Be For A While)

I feel like I’ve been pretty negative on here for a while. It’s tough when things seems to not be going your way.

I’m still fighting with the idea that I should not do the recruiting job anymore. The results from another screening I worked came in, and I’ve still never had anyone attend a screening. This isn’t good. The screenings that I worked on Sunday are this week and I should know toward the end of the week if anyone showed up. If nobody did, I’m going to take it as a clear sign that I should stop wasting my time (and the company’s since I’m clearly not a good employee). But I’m going to wait and see.

But yesterday, things took a nice turn for the positive. I still haven’t heard back from the job that told me to wait and not accept anything until they got back to me. But I’ve had other positive job related news.

I did a second interview for another job that seemed good and paid well. And they didn’t seem to have an issue with me being an actor. The only weird thing was the first interview was technically over email and the second was over the phone. I’ve never met them, but maybe this is just the way that they do things.

I also was accepted for a fun food survey. It doesn’t pay a lot, but it’s some extra cash that I’m going to get right before leaving for my trip. Every little bit helps!

And finally, I got a fun acting related gig for today! I’m going to be doing stand-in work for a promo for a network show. I’ve actually been a stand-in for this particular actor for the last set of promos that they did a few years ago. So it’s exciting that I get to do it again! It should be another fun and easy day, just like it was a few years ago.

It’s not exactly acting, but it’s closer to acting than almost anything else could be (except acting, of course). But it’s always nice to be in a room surrounded by creative types and having fun. And again, any extra money that I can get is super helpful.

Technically, my unemployment ended. I was still on an old claim of mine when I was laid off from my job. So I had to wait for that claim to end before starting a new one. I just filed my new claim today and I’m hoping that it will be accepted. But even if it does, I will not get as much in unemployment as I did before because in my second year of work I didn’t make quite as much as the first year. And your unemployment benefits are based on how much you made.

But with all the good news happening, maybe I won’t need my new unemployment claim! Maybe I’ll get a new job this week! But for now, I’m just excited that tomorrow is going to be a day spent on set and I get to be in the environment that I love!

Job Trials and Interviews (or Let’s Hope Something Comes Of All This)

There’s been some movement in the search for a new day job lately.

I still haven’t had any gigs with the on call assistant work, but I did check in with the owner and she said she just hasn’t had anything for me yet. So at least I haven’t been forgotten.

I had my first official shift doing the film recruitment job. It was tough. People don’t want to take flyers from a random person out at a shopping center. I don’t blame then. I always have ignored those people in the past. I also got my numbers back from my training shift. None of the people who took flyers went to the film, so I didn’t make money on that (I still got my hourly, but that’s barely minimum wage).

I’m still in a 30 day trial with them, and I’m glad that after that I can reevaluate if I want to be there. It’s a tough job and I know it’s not for everyone. Right now, I’m not sure if it’s right for me. I’m going to keep trying, but it’s hard.

And this week, I went for an open call for new tour guides at Universal Studios. I feel like I’m a great candidate for that job. Right after college graduation I was a tour guide at Warner Bros. The person at WB who trained me used to be a tour guide at Universal, so a lot of the training methods were the same.

And in 2007, 2008, and 2010 I was part of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios. I worked at Terror Tram and actually my first year I played a dead tour guide.

I know it’s not the same as being a real tour guide there, but at least I’m familiar with Universal Studios. Everyone I worked with at HHN thinks I’m perfect for the job as well.

And today, I’m going to the callbacks for that job! So I made the first cut! There are still a few more cuts to go, but I’m trying to be optimistic. I know a few actors who are tour guides so at least I know it’s a flexible job.

Besides all that, I’m still spending 2 hours a day applying for jobs online. I know I’ll find something eventually, I just need that eventually to be soon. The only thing I have against me right now is that in 2 weeks I go on my trip to NYC. I know that doesn’t make me the most desirable candidate. But I figured by being up front about it I’m still making a good impression.

Staying positive is tough, but that’s what I have to do right now.

Oscar Party (or Looking “Frozen”)

The Oscars were this past weekend (but I’m sure you all already knew that). This is like the actor’s Super Bowl so of course it was a big deal!

I always go to my friends Marie and Chris‘ house for their party. I’ve been going for almost as long as I’ve lived in LA. And every year it’s a costume party.

I hadn’t felt too inspired with the movies this past year for a costume. The movies I loved had costumes that would be either too complicated to make or would be too simple and I wanted to try to do something a bit more.

After my hair was dyed, I realized that my hair is almost the exact same color as Anna in “Frozen”. Here’s a photo for reference:

I have a maroon sweater that looks like the cape and I wore blue jeans (because I thought I’d be too cold in a skirt). And I went to the beauty supply store and bought white/blonde clip in extensions so I could add the white streak to my hair. I tried to braid it but the extension kept getting lost in my hair, so I went with pigtails. After doing my hair and makeup, this is how I looked.

After getting dressed, I thought I did a pretty good job creating a more modern version of Anna.

Although my costume was tame compared to the hosts (aka cheerleader from “Monsters University” and Rayon from “Dallas Buyers Club”).

The party was awesome (as it always is!). There were great decorations and amazing food.

There were two different viewing areas to watch the awards show. I chose the quiet room for two reasons. One, I wanted to be able to hear all the speeches and the show. And two, Marie and Chris project the show on their garage wall so it’s a huge screen!

That was Chris celebrating as Jared Leto won for “Dallas Buyers Club”. He looked pretty good in drag and had great legs in heels.

I didn’t do too bad with my guesses for the winners. I got 20 out of 24 correct. But the winners of the guessing contest got 21 right! That’s ok. I’m happy with all the winners and thought that everyone deserved their awards.

After the show was over, everyone headed outside for the costume parade and a group photo.

Before I knew it, it was time for me to head home. I had such a great time at the party. I got to hang out with a ton of awesome friends and I got to see actors who I admire getting their Oscars.

New Headshots (or Trying To Be A Quirky Office Girl/College Student/Young Mom)

This past Thursday was my shoot date for new headshots. I had booked this date a while ago because the photographer I go to, Joanna DeGeneres, is extremely popular and didn’t have time until the end of February (I asked her about shoot dates in the beginning of January). I was more than happy to wait because she is truly an amazing photographer.

Then, it was supposed to be the storm of the century on Thursday. Joanna told me we would need to cancel (she shoots outdoors and only uses natural light). I told Joanna that I would keep that date open, because there’s always a chance that the weather people are wrong.

And guess what? It was a beautiful sunny day on Thursday! So I got to do my shoot!

I had also paid to have someone there to do my hair and makeup. I’m not that talented with either myself, but even if you are, it’s always suggested to have someone else come in to help. Also, this allowed me to have a couple of different looks.

After I got to Joanna’s, she went through the outfits that I brought with me. Based on the clothes I brought and how I look, we had decided that the looks that would be best for me would be a mix of young mom, a quirky office girl, and an older college student. I agreed that those are what I’m most likely to be cast as as well.

Hair and makeup took about an hour and then we were ready to shoot! I had 3 different looks that day and one makeup/hair change. I don’t have all the proofs yet (I’ll get those at some point this week), but here are 2 screenshots of what we got.

The first picture is more of an office look and the second picture is more of a mom look.

I’m super happy with how these look and I can’t wait to see the rest. I know that these both have a similar expression and I need more range, but I know that we shot so many different looks that day (these were just 2 pictures that jumped out at both of us while we were looked at everything).

As soon as I have all my proofs and can look at everything, I’ll try to get it down to about 15-20 pictures. Then I’ll have my agents look at them and hopefully we can get it down to maybe 3 or 4 (every one that I want to put up on the online casting sites cost money so I don’t want to pick too many). And of those few, I’ll probably pick just one to print out. I don’t have to give casting directors headshots too often any more so I don’t need a ton to be printed.

Hopefully these new pictures will get me some more auditions!

Getting Pretty (or A Fresh Look For My New Pictures)

I’m going to be getting new headshots on Thursday, so I’m trying to get everything ready for the shoot. I’m picking out my clothes, trying to figure out how to pay for it since my unemployment money seems to be delayed, and getting myself looking pretty.

I try to time my haircuts and color around major events like holidays or my headshots. So this past weekend, I headed over to my friend Erin’s house so she could do my hair.

I knew that I wanted to change things up a little bit this time. I’m getting a little sick of my bangs, and I’ve had them for a while now, so it was time to grow them out. I also wanted to brighten up the color a bit.

I had been on the lookout for color inspiration on Pinterest and found this pin. I showed it to Erin, and she decided to do a slight modification on that color for me.

The night before getting my hair done, I washed my hair. But I was feeling far too lazy to dry it so I just put it in braids and went to sleep. So my before picture is pretty crazy since my hair was all over the place.

You can totally tell that my roots were out of control and that the color on the ends was getting very faded.

After a full head of color and then highlights, I looked like this.

It’s a much brighter red than I had in the past, but it still looks natural on me. In fact, we based this color on the color I had as a baby. We used a picture from my first birthday as a reference.

I’m super happy with my new color (I just think my brows need to be dyed back to be a little darker, but I can do that with a brow pencil). It’s nice and bright and looks super fresh.

Plus, it always looks amazing when Erin blows out my hair. I can never make it look that good. Even after sleeping on it, the blowout still looked pretty perfect.

I’m ready for my new pictures now. Even though I haven’t lost as much weight as I could like from my last pictures, I think you really can tell in my face that I’m a little thinner now than I was before.

I’ll definitely show off my new pictures as soon as I get them emailed to me. The shoot is on Thursday so I’m not expecting to have anything until next week.

But I’m feeling very confident going into these photos and I know that they will look amazing!

The Frustration Of Looking For A Day Job (or Why Is This So Difficult?)

I’ve hit a wall in my search for a new job. I’ve gotten the on call personal assistant job, but my paperwork is still being processed and there are no guarantees that I’ll get any work with them. The other job that I got as a recruiter for film screenings is also still processing my paperwork and again, no guaranteed hours. I have to go through a background check with both of those jobs and that takes time.

I also had a trial shift at another job, but after that trial I’ve realized that I’m not the right employee for them (they would need me to not go on auditions for about 2 months a year). They said that they would pay me for this trial, but they haven’t yet. I’m not sure if I’m going to bother bugging them for the money. It almost doesn’t seem worth my time.

I’m still applying for jobs for about 2 hours a day, and lately I haven’t been getting too many interviews.

I did have one interview this past week, but it really was a failure. I mention in my cover letter that I am an actor looking for a day job but that I’m not a flake, just looking for some understanding and flexibility. I’d rather be upfront with my situation so I don’t waste my time or someone else’s time. I know some actors who lie and when they have auditions they claim that they have a doctor’s appointment, but I can’t do that.

So my interview this past week was for a front desk position that was part-time. It started off great with me finding a parking meter right in front of the building. I took that as a good sign and headed inside. I guess there was some scheduling issues because even though I confirmed my interview time with the person interviewing me, they weren’t there when I showed up. Finally about 30 minutes later, the interviewer came in. She brought me back into her office and the interview got started.

It started off great. It was very similar work to what I did at my last day job and the interviewer and I got along really great. She hadn’t mentioned anything about the flexibility of the job, so I brought it up and reminded her that I’m an actress and occasionally go on auditions.

She seemed confused by that. She wanted to know how soon I would be quitting acting for the job.

I was pretty shocked about that. I’m not going to quit my career for a part-time job. I told the interviewer that again, I was looking for a day job and that I wasn’t quitting acting. At that point, she said that I was not the right candidate for the job and the interview was over.

The interview took about 10 minutes before it ended and when I left, it was the middle of rush hour. What should have taken me about 15 minutes to get home took me over 90 minutes.

It’s so hard to stay positive when something like that past interview happens. I know that eventually I will find another great day job for me, but I’m scared that it’s going to take longer than I have.

So if you all could please think some positive job hunting thoughts for me this week, I’d really appreciate it!
